Dr. Wiegand is San Antonio's only board certified Pediatric Dentist and Orthodontic (Orthodontist). When he completed his dual certification in 1995 he was the first to do so, in Texas. He is a graduate of the University of Texas (BA in Psychiatry), Baylor College of Dentistry (DDS, Certified in Pediatrics and MSD) and University of Toronto (Certified in Orthodontics). Dr. Wiegand joined the San Antonio community in 1987 and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and the American Board of Orthodontics. He teaches at the University of Texas Health Science Center and is an avid tournament tennis player. Dr. Wiegand is a member of the USPTA and enjoys helping local junior tennis players. He has three children, Jon, Julia and Kerry. Tennis and dance are the favorite family activities.
